Special Air Service documentary . The Special Air Service (SAS) is a special forces regiment within the British Army which has served as a model for the special forces of other countries.[2] The SAS forms a significant section of United Kingdom Special Forces alongside the Special Boat Service (SBS), Special Reconnaissance Regiment (SRR), and the Special Forces Support Group (SFSG). The SAS gained fame and recognition world wide after the Iranian Embassy Storming (or Operation Nimrod) in 1980 which was one of the first of its kind and was broadcast live all over the globe.
Current SAS roles are believed to include:

Intelligence collection in the battlespace
Battlespace preparation by sabotage and offensive raids in the enemy territory and within key enemy structures
Counter-terrorism operations inside UK territory in conjunction with police forces
Counter-terrorism operations outside UK territory
Training soldiers of other nations, and training guerillas in unconventional warfare
Counter Revolutionary Warfare (CRW) activities in support of UK government Foreign Policy

  • Imagine being a terrorist in a building with hostages, , looking out the window and you see 2 units of 8 SAS war machines in gas masks carrying MP5 sub machines guns, a belt of flash bangs and a brain trained her headshots about to breach the door.. fuck

I would probably just shoot myself in the head and get it over and done with

  • SAS is amazingly good...America(my country) uses there tactics... so does Australia and Germany.

  • To me when you are from a soft country with an easy life such as the UK you can never be as good as those men from nothing such as Spetsnaz, a tour of Chechnya will make a man out of anyone. Too many call of duty players commenting

  • @dexypatchnarla Doesn't really matter who is better. All it matters is that you hope they aren't after you.....

  • @dexypatchnarla i thought the SBS was more like SWCC?

    focusing more on the boats.

  • @TheKimberRifleBloke He made wrong decisions before the mission went out. The fact he didnt go to his commanding officer about them going to Syria and not south was a major reason why they lost 3 members of the patrol. The other 2 sister patrols called off the misson when they saw the ground wouldnt give them the cover they needed.

  • @NIGHTMARE97711 I dont want to argue I just want to make a point. Its easy to say stuff like that after the fact, making life and death decissions in split seconds cant be easy. He's obviously got what it takes to be in the SAS and I doubt he enjoyed his torture, adn probably never got over the loss of his comrades. In the end they knew the risks its just unfortunate they paid the price. I wasnt there so I cant judge... Im just saying

  • Andy McNab's an arsehole. He's the reason all 8 guys from Bravo Two Zero never made it out of Iraq. Chris Ryan's better!

  • @ProbablyCoolerThanU you wouldnt se them
