  • I was at R.A.F Scampton as a child and lived with the Vulcan Bombers so to see her back in the sky was amazing. But an added bonus was when the Vulcan was paired with my Fave plane the Lancaster Bomber. I had a school trip around the inside of the Lancaster that use to be on the gate at Scampton. One of the best days ever.

  • In 1984-87 I was a Corporal at RAF Waddington (on the ill fated Nimrod AEW Mk3) and was lucky enough to go round the BBMF Lancaster which was based there for a while. Never got a chance to get inside the Vulcan unfortunately!!

  • i salute to these two amazing aircraft.

knowing those two are two of many British aircraft to make a difference in wars. makes me proud to be British :)

  • i was thr on saturday 5th. all i can say is IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

  • saw the vulcan on sataurday and i saw her flying at waddington this morrning great sight and sound :)

  • was there at waddington. even better to see up close and personal

  • We were at Scampton from 78-83. I did go inside a Vulcan on one of the family days at Scampton. When I say inside there was a ladder up to the cockpit but then a barrier to stop you stepping into the plane it's self. But you did get a good view of the cockpit. Oh happy days

  • I've never seen a Vulcan fly before as they were retired in 1984, the year i was born and i never got to see XH558 as a display aircraft. My dad was in the RAF and told me stories about the Vulcan and I'm so excited that I will get the chance to finally see the aircraft I call "my favourite" even though I have never seen it. Makes you proud to be British and it should open the Olympics!
