I read the book,and while entertaining,it was kind of annoying. His assertion that Scientology is kind of harmless is hugely ignorant. He makes basic gaffes on Hollywood trivia(asserting that Eddie Fisher left Liz Taylor for Deb Reynolds when it was Liz he left Deb for.)

That  'Highness' sthick got old after a while. That damn green shirt must have ponged to high heaven.

the 1 truly interesting bit was where he posed as a black director seeking support for his film. Racism is alive & well.
