Named after the notorious winds of Antarctica, the long awaited expedition tent from First Ascent is set to debut in in Spring 2012. Guide-Built through an intensive three-year testing process that subjected five rounds of prototypes to extreme conditions on the world's highest peaks, the Katabatic elevates the standard for high-altitude shelter. Lighter, stronger and roomier with a smaller overall footprint, this double-wall expedition tent has earned its rating as the world's most livable expedition shelter.

Here, Gear Director for Eddie Bauer/First Ascent, Mark Correll, goes throught the bomber product features of the Katabatic Tent.

The Katabatic Tent will be available through our catalog and online (www.firstascent.com) on April 2nd, 2012.
