Aside from the waiting and prep time, the actual procedure only takes like 10 minutes. The length of time is short and the pain is minimal to non-existent. It really is only a mild soreness after the numbing agent wears off. Other than the procedure itself being weird, it really is short and painless.

I really don't understand her laughing and talking while having it done. I have one every year and am not aloud to even swallow much less joke around. I have never had anything at all to numb me so maybe she has had something really good and feels nothing. It isn't a great thing to have but definitely worth it to know what you're dealing with.

I had this done a couple of months ago and have to have it done again... if they get the same results (atypical cells) they want to remove the cyst... boo.
I have to agree - it seems like the doc moved the needle around a lot in this vid - for me it was a lot quicker. Hurt for about a week afterwards.

The simple benign cyst can also be treated by PEI procedure.

Just had this done today (6 mm) and the only pain was the anesthetic injection. It's 3 hours later now and a little sore but not too bad. She isn't supposed to laugh or breathe while the needle in in there, let alone laugh. Also, what is so funny? I wasn't laughing. But yeah they have to vigorously move the needle up and down to get fluid from the cyst into the tiny needle.
