@CHAPPYNUKU10 Thai is a variation of Lao.Hoc means love both in Lao and Chinese, Thai say rac for love.We all came from southern China but Lao roots came first and Thai spun off of Lao culture.

The word “Thai” is not to be confused with the word “Tai” which refers to the Tai ethnic race. We see in the North the Tai race includes, the Tai Yuan [Khon Muang], the Tai Lue , the Tai Yai [the Shan of Burma], the Ahom [of Assam] and the Tai-Lao of Isan and Laos [and others elsewhere in Asia]. Nobody is "stealing" culture okay! All these ppl share the same roots.
