Charleston is an ancient city. Lovely and historic. I am still amazed at the yankees of the north who told the following generations that (after the war/Civil War) that Plymouth was the oldest. Poppycock! The East coast and the first 13 colonies are all full of history.

i love charleston though. its a beautiful city with lots beautiful people and there is a ton of fun stuff to do.

I'm going to be going to Charleston on the 26th of June. I am definitely going to Fort Sumter and the historic district. There are so many great places to eat that I am really uncertain which to go to (I have limited time in the city unfortunately). I'm thinking Jestine's is real low country eating. I'm coming from Boston and I look forward to seeing Charleston for the first time.

question is, though, if people hate charleston so much then why do they spend their time watching charleston videos on youtube?

i've visited many times and plan on moving there after i get my degree in a couple years. most beautiful city i've ever seen.
