  • We put it back on its wheels.... let the oil go down in the carter again.... started it again 1 day later.... and now, 2011 it is still going strong.

  • the driver does not work

  • @brackipas It's "know it all". Jackass.

  • @pimpninja1985 A highly opinionated "know all", who is telling a bit of bullshit. remind you of someone? look in the mirror. Oh and I know you will reply to this, because you need the last word.

  • @brackipas Push your broken down LR's. I enjoy driving my LC. Now...enough said.

  • @pimpninja1985 Famous words by a Landrover man, Mr P.S. "I'd rather push my Landrover, than drive a Toyota." Full stop, enough said.

  • @morphshag The ZF autos in the landrovers are superb and bullet proof. Don't forget that LR was the first to mate a small capacity turbo to an auto and others laughed but now are all doing the same. How long it takes them to realise makes me laugh. I wanted to keep my disco for a lot longer and as I tow I had a small slippage in reverse as I backed my boat up a deriveway, so had it rebuil at 290k. Expect at worst an extra 1lt.per 100km in an auto. but is much better to drive especially offroad.

  • @brackipas I have been thinking about swapping out my Manual G-box for an auto. whats it like? im worried it'll be slower and more thirsty. im doin alright in both aspects at the moment... returning about 10L/100K's under normal conditions, and 11.2L/100K's when im pushing it.

  • @morphshag Normally a toyota fan would laugh at your comment of reliability regarding a disco. I agree with you 100%. Ihave the same 305k 300 tdi auto that has been ultra reliable. Used offroad and for towing a 5m boat, and until recently my daily driver. So good, in fact, that when I bought a defender, I looked for the 300 tdi version as it is so easy to service and work on that it was a no brainer. Still got disco and parts are cheaper than toyo but no dealers. plenty out there.

  • @pimpninja1985 im not a land rover fanboy here, though i do drive one. a 97 Discovery. i think that both LR & LC are both very capable. i have owned both. & not much separates them. My opinion is. in Australia, LC parts are a lot more readily available & cheaper. i think LR is more comfortable, but you also pay for it. as for reliability. My Diesel Discovery has done 320,000, and a lot of off road work, and a lot of towing and its my daily, and its never skipped a beat.
