And as long as there is a demand for cheap, registered dogs, then someone will supply it. If all large breeders are shut down, then no one will be able to afford breed dogs in the future. The key is compliance, and regulation, not deletion.

The comments are not fully truthful. There are many reputable dog breeders in the US. But, to purchase an animal from them, most only sell the animals after neutering them. So, if you lose the choice of breeding the dog. The prices are driven sky high for puppies, by increased costs that many consumers will not pay. Too many are going cheap when purchasing the animals, and do so by going to big companies or auctions. But there are reputable businesses that sell dogs too.

F you cloudfan 1010102 dogs afrom shelters are very nice i dont own a dog but even i kno puppy mill dogs are bad for example my cousins dog came from a puppy mill it now has cancer. If you would like to buy a dog with parisites and other problems then go buy it from the pet store

Just want to get this out there- rescue! Rescue dogs are the best! I have two wonderful gorgeous rescue collies! If you cannot adopt from a rescue or shelter- if anything go to a breeder, but NEVER buy from a pet store
