Latin people like french, italian,spaniards,portuguese can't speak english... You are arrogant expecting other people speak your language. have obama spoken in other languages before? obama is arrogant.

We have nothing against you and your language. If french people speak poor english it's because of our language education system! It has to change and I think it's improving slowly... And also because english pronounciation is very different from the french one so we don't feel confident when we speak it. Have you ever tried to pronounce french language? You would think it's HELL!!

eh oh doucement. J'ai voté pour lui, et je ne le regrette pas. Mais j'ai pas envie de parler politique. Juste pour me faire mousser, l'interprète, à la gauche d'Obama est un ami :) Au tel hier. Il est devenu tellement bon en français !! La Rolls des interprètes. Et meilleur dans la vie qu'au boulot.

I admire the French language greatly. I did it myself in school and a bit in college. Can't speak as well as I'd like though :(. I just thought that it's a nice gesture sometimes when heads of state say a few words even in their hosts language. John Kerry for example spoke a bit in French and he was excellent at it! So once again I am sorry if I offended!

I apologize if I offended anyone. I wasn't aware Hollande is probably a bad English speaker. I simply thought he was better than Sarkozy at it, who couldn't speak a word of it beyond "oui ouil gif you some monéée". I admire the French language greatly.
