Andy Hopkins featured "A Solid Hour of Sinatra" for 17 years...and the only other "Great Star" that appeared during that hour was Frank's good friend, Tony Bennett, who was promoting his new CD at the time. In the audio, Bennett praises Grady and Hurst for his success, and playing his first record "Boulevard of Broken Dreams"

  • Karl,

Thanks, glad you are enjoying them!

I have a huge trunk in my closet with hundreds of cassette tapes of WPEN content. To be frank, I don't have a clue if I have any Al Martino stuff - but I probably do - just need the time to dig through the tapes and digitize them before uploading to youtube. Just be patient because I have a lot more surprises coming soon! If I can find something from Al Martino I will gladly put it on youtube.

    Hope all is well Karl!

    Charlie

  • Charley, great posting as usual. I have a request, if I may. We recently lost my ALL time favorite singer, Al Martino. Been a fan of his dating back to the old Latin Casino, Palumbos, Atlantic City concerts and am truly sorry that he is no longer with us.

Do you have any material by Al that you might post? Thanks so much.

    Karl
