I must tell you folks, ive owned many many radios from Icoms to kenwoods, some expensive, some not so, The Yaesu ft 450 is the best radio for the money, ive put it against my 6,000 Yaesu, It has an increadable RX and TX, has built in voice recorder for contesting, the Dsp and digital noise reduction is unsurpassed, it cant be beat for a radio under 800.00. Yes Its Ugly But, Once you try it and work it, you will see its an awsome radio. you cant go wrong for the money.. I Promise....

In 40-45 every radio was illegal. It depends of the timezone. When the conditions are interesting i don't mind to hit the 11m band instead of the other bands. So i'm a pirate as well? Too bad then.

Well, at least he probably wont interfere with other services. Filtering is much better on these than some hacked Galaxy or other crap "10 meter" radios.

What is the mod for 11 meters please? Is this done via the 'hidden menu', or do you actually have to go inside the rig?
