@XxOZONEMILITIAxX Yeah, I've heard Tommy was taken by surprise :) Someone told me Tommy had actually thought Giant Steps to be a ballad... until John set the tempo. I forgot to mention that on the re-release of the original album there's an earlier version (with Cedar Walton I believe) in a slightly slower tempo. And in my opinion it is better than the final version. It's more "relaxed" and John does not repeat himself as often :)
We're so lucky to be able to listen to John's music!
