Most of those soldiers in WW II didn't go home, but that's ok because they've gone to Heaven where they belong.

there is a local singer that has done this song and my mom bought the cd he had including this amazing song aswell as others to do with the military. this music is beautiful sounds amazing whether male or female singing it gives me goosebump when i hear it and sometimes tears (the money for the CD went to a charity called Help For Heroes for military veterans and serving members and having a brother and father who were in the military it helped thanks to everyone in the armed forces

This reminds me of a quote given from Saving Private Ryan. "James... earn this, earn it." I may not be a soldier, but hearing those words makes me try to live my life for the best that I can, because I know that others are laying their lives down just so that I may have an opportunity to live a life of freedom and make a nicer living for myself than people living lives of oppression in other countries. Earn the right to live an American citizen ladies and gentlemen. Live your life to the fullest

i'm from the netherlands, and everytime i'm in the hills of Arnhem (market garden) i have to think about all the soldiers who died there... its awesome the netherlands has a day of memorial (to remember and honor the dead of WW2) and a day of liberation (to celebrate the freedom we got at VE-day, a few days before VE-day, holland got liberated by mostly canadian troups) ... i remember those days every year, cause freedom is something really special, that should be valued!
