At 6:45 that looks like one step grade, what % is that?

Its thrilling to see the restored V & T line from Carson City to Virginia City . I've been a fan of the V & T since my first visit to Virginia City in 1952 and have since obtained every publication available about the line. Seeing Engine 29 and hearing it climb the grade with two cars, it sounds as if it is really working hard, it makes me wonder how the old 4-4-0s like the Inyo and Reno made it up the hill with 4 and 5 passenger cars?

Where are they at 4:40 is that new territory for the train?

@sgprailfan: That's Gold Hill depot. That's considered old territory as the initial excursions from Virginia City terminated there. The "new" territory is from there south to Carson City.

@luckydoggoldminer: It's supposed to be ongoing as they get funding. I was not told when they expect to open the line, yet.

The bridge was taken from Las Vegas where the Boulder Brancgh crossed I-15. A new bridge was installed for freeway widening. That must be a nice long trip. The ride to Gold Hill wasn't that long.

@TYMMCHN: I couldn't ride it because the tickets were sold out! I did wait for a while to show up at Gold Hill, so the ride between there and Mound House seem nice and long.
