This two person amphibious trike system is certified as an N-numbered aircraft and is available with 65 hp Rotax 582 or 80 hp Rotax 912 engine. The smaller single place version of this amphibous trike does not require a license for operation.

At lot has happened at Krucker Manufacturing since the debut of the amphibious float system for trikes years ago at Sun n Fun. Krucker has refined the design, with custom seat covers, a custom instrument panel, for better cosmetics and a stronger front spreader bar which gives better durability and strength.

The Krucker float and amphib set up is designed specifically for trikes. The step is moved farther forward than conventional floats. This makes take offs possible in less than 5 seconds using a 582 Rotax engine, and even less with a Rotax 912.

The floats are produced from 5052 aluminium the same as that used in aluminium boat construction. They are corrosion resistant, have three air tight seamless chambers, with cross bracing.

In flight the floats fly with a 2 degree angle of attack which decreases drag and allows the trike to fly virtually the same as it would if equipped with wheels only. Water rudders operated by cables are also included with the floats.

These amphibious trikes are outfitted with retractable wheels for easy retraction and extension in flight. Drive right into the water on your wheels, retract them and take off on floats. Back at the boat ramp or beach, you can lower the wheels in the water then drive up the ramp or beach back into the trailer, hangar or garage.

  • The narrative for this video is incorrect. This particular aircraft is a Krucker 103 Ultralight. Only a one person craft and no license is necessary to fly it. Training, however is necessary!! Krucker also makes a two person craft that does have a larger engine and will carry two persons. The floats are unique and made by the same company. Amphibious with folding wing. Search YouTube for Krucker.
