Net gear (updated) cable virgin media router advice set up

okay so its came,You are hooked up to the internet and want to go wireless, That shiney new wireless modem arrives,Theres only one thing on your mind? you tube.no seriously only joking
i know its wii sports or playstation3

This is running on from my last video were i got a little nervous and did cover the topic better,
Some quick advice on how to set a virgin net gear model WGR614 V7 up to a cable modem like net gear
does not matter what brand of cable modem the setup is the same somewere.

Firstly before even attempting to set one up run the setup cd disk that came with it till you get the message attach the cable modem..I notice a lot of people dont mention this in there videos.

If you are afer connecting a ps3 eithernet cable plug. In the ethernet cable if its in the same room as your ps3 ect, then thats the easy way but or go wireless by hitting the AOSS button on playstation,(see my quick demo without a ps3) and save the lan settings on the sony playstation and you should be good to go

@Pingu2c This video is almost 3 years old now and i apoligise there is no assos button. you have to set it up in the playstation network via wireless settings if you are setting up a playstation or for other computers use windows wireless settings in your taskbar

I recently upgraded to virgin media and set it up and everything, but every 7 minutes the internet switches off for one second and my xbox disconnects from xbox live. Does anyone know how to stop the internet switching off and on every 7 minutes, real problem because it makes online gaming impossible. :(

@cheetahfajita recently found out win 7 is not supported on there services as of yet sorry about that accoriding to there team in india anyway. guess your on your own on that one.

Please help! My wireless router and cable modem have always worked for my computer, xbox 360 and ipod touch--you could go on the internet at the same time on all three. Now only one device will work at a time and if you want to change devices, you have to unplug everything from the wall and plug it back in. Please, please help!

hi im on 50mb virgin media and when i play games like UNO my ping is at the top green bar and all the other players r showing one red bar and its the same when anyone joins i call up virgin media they sent some one out and they sez there is not a problem with my speed to the pc its just a problem with the speed going to xbox live so what do i do please help
