For my self initiated MA project in creative direction, I chose to start a movement to represent the rights of British smokers who are being discriminated against.

Excellent! The tide is starting to turn, the public now realising that the smoking ban as closed many 1000s of pubs, clubs and bingo halls.
And you're right, smokers are being unfairly discriminated against. The basis of the ban was junk science, using cherry picked studies to exaggerate the risk of passive smoking. Even then, the claimed risks are negligible. The primary reason for the ban was to denormalise and alienate smokers, as part of a campaign to meet government cessation targets.
