I was in Oakland back in 92 and LOL! got off work, fell asleep and ended up riding the train from end to end. SMH. My sis called and i told her what happened..LOL! I liked the Bart train, but transferring to that Berkely or somewhere that train was CROWDED every morning

The traction drive motors are different models, though.
BART uses ADTranz 1507C motors.
NYC Transit uses ADTranz 1508C motors on the Kawasaki R142A and R143 cars.

I remember when they built the BART. There were a lot of deep holes that were 40 by 40 by 40 ft deep. We tried not to fall in them.

im not sure why videos from west oakland bart get so many views, my most viewed video is from there with 9,000 or so views, it seems somewhat odd

Way back in the 80s, West Oakland station was actually named Oakland West. I heard it was because West Oakland had a bad reputation for being a dangerous part of the city. In the 90s it was changed back to it's proper name. Look it up, true story.
