This should be done to diesel engines as well. I'm still waiting for the day that lionel uses ball bearings on steam engines.

  • What do you mean uses ball bearings? And she weighs 35 pounds?!

  • Ball bearings are similar to roller bearings if you know what those are. They would work on O scale steam engines.

  • Oh. I didn't know that that was the purpose. Why does it matter? The best thing though, is gliders. I have them on a Prewar steamer and a motorized unit. They're about an inch long, maintenance free, and go great through switched.
