@Fearghal056 that, and the fact that the lyrics say "she's the belle of belfast city" not belfast country

@knightofjustic someone born on the island of ireland is without question IRISH dress it up whatever way you like but that is a fact. Its just that some people from the north have a serious identity problem in that they are not able to accept their irishness, that is untill they come to england and get called paddy or worse still irish bastard, i know i have seen it happen many times.

@feeney2k10 Belfast is not a Country...If by chance you mean county, it is not that either. And even if it was a county, there would not be another 6 as that would make 7 counties.
BuT DemzZz 6 Counties. Demmz Awwzz

@OlympicScientist what really annoys me is people still think were in the uk people also put ireland and britian togertor

Britain is the Island beside Ireland...What you mean is Belfast is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
I'm not Irish but I can see why this sort of ignorance is irritating, I'm Scottish and sick of being called elsewise because people are ignorant of their surroundings to the point of ridiculous. To say that this is not Irish but British is to say that haggis is not Scottish. Grow your own culture, stop copying the Celtic nations heritage as your own.

here no one disrespect music, you dont know what it means to other people just because use dont like it, it doesnt mean use need to be disrespectful of the song! i love it because my granda use to sing this song to me before he died, so it means alot to me! i like the dubliners singing it better then this but still no need to be disrespectful of a song!
