First Dirt Bike Ride at Tristan Park - Part I

Watch in HD! My first attempt at dirt bike riding. Rented a KTM 200cc two-stroke dirt bike at Tristan Park (tristangroup.com) in Johor and just had to keep up with the guide provided.

your doing fine your first ride on a 200 2 stroke. For my first bike i want to get a crf250r (4stroke) and some of my friends say this is too much, others say its just fine. If there is a scale of beginner, intermediate, experienced, and expert then I have some riding experience i would say im like beginner going on intermediate

@dilesh007 Unfortunately no. I only rode on the KTM. If cost is a concern, maybe the best option is to get the Yamaha for your first session. If you find it lacking power, you can justify spending on the KTM on the next session. Or if you're very lucky, they might have a spare KTM on the same day and will allow you to pay to upgrade to the KTM in the afternoon.

@wreckz189 thanks mate! It was very helpful! I dont suppose you have ridden the Yamaha too to compare the two? I'm trying to justufy the $90 yamaha Vs. $150 KTM. If i spend a bit more I can rent a yamaha for TWO days as opposed to a KTM for one day. So in a bit of a mental Dilemma. Appreciate the help!

@dilesh007 Hey bro. Definitely take the KTM! I was just like you (know how to ride a bike but never rode a dirt bike before), and the KTM is really usable! It's not crazy powerful, but powerful enough to have lots of fun. Since it's a two-stroke, you don't actually feel all the power unless you let it rev all the way to the top - if you don't like the top-end power, you can easily avoid it by shifting early.

hey dude! awesome vid... i'm planning on going to tristan soon too. Can I get an opinion on what bike to take. The KTR is obviously more awesome, but the Yamaa's seem nice too... considering the price difference what is better bang for buck for someone like me who can ride a motorcycle but has not ridden a trailbike yet wanting to have a blast with all that power... thanks!
