This movie was actually based on a true story. There was a woman I believe in Boston or Philadelphia who was raped on a pool table in a bar by three men while others cheered them on. The defense attorney tried to convince a jury that because she'd gone out drinking after her baby's birthday party that somehow she deserved it. They were convicted. I remember this because it's one of the first court trials CNN ever carried live.
