  • Jeff Wall has made a very important contribution to visual art over the past 30 years or so but this talk is...odd. I've seen and read very interesting interviews with him but he seems bored, and boring here. Perhaps he is speaking slowly and in a monotone way because he is conscious the audience speak English as a second language but I switched off pretty quick. He is throwing comments out without backing them up as well

  • Great lecture

  • Interesting speech.

  • it's called 'english'. It's actually very simple the way he expresses his ideas... simple and concise. no tricks.

  • no period in art is less or more important than the other. we couldn't have the art we have today without the art we had in the past. it's all relative to eachother and "modern" art is art of that time.

  • I worked with Jeff Wall a few years ago. He is a total asshole. Jeff didnt even make eye contact with me and others who installed his super big over bloated work. I hope the art world wakes up.

  • This is hard to understand. He tosses out phrases without explaining them, assuming we understand what he means. Very poor speech writing.

  • what shit

  • ok karl, grow up and join this century.
