Tool Time: Transgender Bathroom Checks?!

Tennessee State Representative Richard Floyd has put forth a new anti-transgender bathroom bill. This bill would restrict trans-gender people from using public dressing rooms and bathrooms because the measure would ensure that only people of that designated sex can use those areas. Thankfully, the House bill has lost its sponsor, and state Senator Bo Watson withdrew the senate version of this measure saying that there are much more pressing issues to deal with.

The woman reporting the story is a total hypocrite. If she had the courage of her convictions, she would simply call for same-sex bathrooms and dressing rooms. Honestly... Why do people think its so wrong? Transgender people don't want to go in the bathroom to flaunt and draw attention. They just want to go to the damn washroom! And like... ALL transgender people that have anxiety about using the washrooms are PASSING. As in a FTM wouldn't want to go in the womens restroom because he PASSES as a MALE. And that would make women uncomfortable! Jesus, people TRY and be fucking respectful of others and they still get slapped on the wrist.

@AilynnStarlight Good on you. I, myself, am not religious. But, I'm glad that you believe in your faith and the power of God. I don't think God hates the trangenders or the gays. Something about that seems off to me. He loves everyone as everyone is created in the image of him. Props for staying strong in your faith and YOUR God. I believe you're practising GOOD Christianity. Jesus said, "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who treat you badly." Lk. 6.27-28

Jesus also said, "You must love your neighbor as yourself." Mt. 22.40

As you can see this doesn't fit within the Christian stereotype: The hater and murderer, the unforgiving judges or others. Those people are not practicing MY religion...or following Jesus' teachings. Do not let them fool you.
