TORNADO Walnut Grove Mississippi 4-27-11
Amazing huge and violent tornado that ripped through East Central Mississippi. It was coming directly at us and we drove south a few hundred yards to watch as it crossed the road right where we were about a minute or so after. We then got behind it and followed it next to the interstate until we lost it, This was a FAST moving tornado from a Supercell from the infamous Southern Outbreak on April 27 2011

@WickedTornado That man is legendary. Roger Hill. He is extremely knowledgable and passionate about tornadoes. In 3 days , he led us to seeing 8 tornadoes . You must understand how nerveracking this one was. It crept up on us, and we had to get out of the way and fast.In Eastern M.S. where we were, the thick forests blocked our visual , and the road network was not a grid. Very hard to chase in that terrain. We saw another large tornado 1 hr after this at Rose Hill MS. in which I youtubed too.

I lived in Walnut Grove, Ms b4 comin bk to Tulsa. This doesn't look anything lk the town. Where in Walnut Grove, Ms was this video shot on April of this yr? I was there, on Alma St. across from post office.

@msw4u ok first off you must understand , that was a very fast paced day in which we zig zagged all across Eastern Ms. intercepting tornadoes, This was the same day as the Tuscaloosa AL event. Looking at my notes now , it appears that you may be right. This is definitley rt 35 but it may be a few towns south of Walnut Grove , perhaps somewhere between Harperville and Forest Ms. Does that look familiar to you?

Awesome. I live less than 10 miles from Walnut Grove. There were 3 or 4 tornadoes that came within 30 miles of my house on April 27th. Nerve racking day.

@hotrodrts Yes , it was. It happened to be the biggest outbreak of tornados in one day anywhere on Earth at any time in written history. We also captured the Rose Hill Tornado on video that day. That one was really insane.Thanks for watching.

Thanks for repsponding to my post. I thought about it, and realized that it was surrounding areas. But we did feel some affects. Great video!

@auburntigersfan12 Walnut Grove is a small town in East Central Mississippi on rt 15 just south of Newton south of I-20 . I think this tornado may actually be called the Newton-Hickory tornado. I may change the name of the heading. Thanks for watching .

@MrUnclestupidhead Correct , we are traveling with Roger Hill and Silverlining tours. Truly amazing. We drove 671 miles in total that day, all the way from Shreveport , La. and was able to pinpoint that exact spot right before it came barreling towards us.
