Your comment reminds me that someone in our radio club did have major problems with batteries overheating in his PL-600. Mine charges them fine though. Hope yours works well too.
The PL-600's whip antenna, while longer than that of the PL-550, is cheaper metal and more fragile. Also, there are several MW frequencies where a tone overrides the desired signal. Fine-tuning helps. Overall build quality of the 600 seems a bit cheaper than the 550. On mine I have to press the "0" key extra hard. Still I like the PL-600 a lot, and prefer it over the PL-310.
My main complaint with my PL-600 is that while using it on the 110VAC adapter, SSB stations warble severely. I have to use it on battery power for normal SSB reception.

I hope the built-in battery charger works for me as I've heard sometimes it doesnt work right.

yes, it is a normal complain from users.
it happens the same with my Radio Shack!
BTW, have you find any other cons in this radio? I want to know because I'm thinking on buying PL-600 or PL-310. .thanks!

Thanks for the video. I like the PL 600 a lot. Great on SW & FM but a bit weak on MW/AM.
