try turning off your virus scanner or anti-spyware, for example, i use bitdefender

Here are some fixes, i don't know which one will work, but 1 will :D
1. make sure your running system 32bit and not 64bit.
2. WinXP and Vista definitely works, but no idea if Win7 can be said the same.
3. Disable Virus programs completely.
4. Replace the original prototypef.exe with a fixed one.
5. Steam users can't use Steam(or can they? i dunno, probably not)
