Selena sat alone once again for lunch. It bothered her sometimes, watching the other kids her age goof off and shoot the breeze with their friends when she never would. Never could. It made her angry. So angry that she felt like she was going to burst. She hated her father with everything in her. He was a monster. A heartless, evil, disgusting monster. He was the reason her mother was dead and he didn't even pay for it. He just said that she had choked herself and he had been trying to stop her. Yeah, okay. He probably wouldn't even flinch if she actually had been trying to end her life.
She tossed her trash in the bin before returning to her table to work on the algebra homework she hadn't been able to finish the night before. Because of him. After about 10 minutes she glanced at her watch to find that the bell would be ringing to signal the end of lunch in afew minutes so she packed up her things and left to the bathroom where she again bilged her lunch.
Selena sighed leaning back against the stall. It was her fault her mother was now dead. If she hadn't needed to protect her she'd still be here. This was exactly what she deserved.

Logan sat staring at the door Selena had moments ago disappeared from. He had been watching her do this everyday for a year now. After she'd pushed all her friends, including him who had been secretly in love with her since the 9th grade away claiming that she had to focus on college and their distractions wouldn't help her. But he knew her well enough to know that it was complete bull.
"Logan are you even listening to me?" his girlfriend Demi snapped. Her chesnut eyes wandering towards the exit Selena had left from. She scoffed. "Why do you care so much?"
He ignored her continuing to stare at the doors worriedly. Eventually Demi gave up and started talking to Joe who honestly seemed to care alot more about her banter than he did. He only dated her because it seemed right. They were both popular and she was a cheerleader while he was the starting pitcher for the school's baseball team. Selena used to be popular too before she pushed everyone away.
He just had to know what was going on with her. It made him hurt inside knowing that he didn't know why she was so different now. He'd known her since the 2nd grade. She used to be happy then but when her mother killed herself in the 4th grade she'd changed. It just took her afew years to decide to push them all away.
"I'm sure she'd fine." a gentle voice told him and he looked up to find his bestfriend Miley smiling reassuringly. But he wasn't convinced. No, he could feel it. Something was seriously wrong.
"I have to know." he told her standing up and rushing out of the cafeteria not caring one bit that the bell was about to ring. When he stopped he found himself infront of the girls bathroom and hesitated. But when he heard sobs coming from inside he knew it was her. He opened the door and stepped in.
