Ahmad Shah Massoud (احمد شاه مسعود) (2 September 1953 9 September 2001) was a Kabul University engineering student turned military leader who played a leading role in driving the Soviet army out of Afghanistan, earning him the nickname "Lion of Panjshir". Many Afghans call him "Amer Sahib e Shaheed," translating to "(Our) Martyred Commander." Massoud was the most popular anti-Soviet resistance leaders.

massoud is a great example of the ability's of humanity, he defended hes land and people from greater forces that could have devoured him but massoud showed hes skill at guerella warfare and triumphed over the invading russians and th mighty talban , if he was alive afghanistan would not be in the state it is now , 1st of all there would be no foreign soldiers in afghanistan and the taliban and al qaeda wold have been crushed. r.i.p great afghan massoud
