  • I have a tundra 11, 5.7 crew max, How is your exhaust set up, do you only have one flow-master muffler or two. Thanks.

  • @rectifier12 @rectifier12 i have 1 muffler. this is the flowmaster 40 series. this is an old vid, i got bigger tips now & made it a little louder. hard to tell on camera but u can tell there's a diff in person. ill upload it in a few days to show you. & if your deciding on what kind of tips i highly recommend stainless steel. chrome is a pain in the butt to take care of. & if u want even more rumble @ low rpm i would look into high flow catalytic converter's.

  • @rilee11 By the way, is this the American Thunder exhaust kit flowmaster sells online or did u buy the muffler and took it to the local muffler shop and have them install the tubing? thanks

  • @rectifier12 im not exactly sure. i took my truck to a shop that deals with a lot of flowmaster set ups & i told them i wanted the super 40 muffler with dual inlet & they did tubing & everything for $260 including labor. took like 2hr's.. could have got it done cheaper but i trust the guy i know & does a great job & i agree, i dont like the pop on those other one's either..

  • @rectifier12 & i also have a K&N cold air intake. i love it, & it makes ur motor create an incredible rumble when you step on the gas @ 3,500+ rpm range. wouldnt recommend for serious off-roading though. gotta be careful when running through the water just to be safe.

  • what flowmaster series is it. any power loss?

  • @KrazyRMjumps its the 40, and no loss. i felt the diff in power right away. my truck feels like it gets up to speed a lot more smoothly also

  • @rilee11- I appreciate the info., I have been looking almost at all exhaust manufactures based on youtube videos, and I like this sound on your truck. All others are ok but I don't like the popping sound at the end. I have been used to using dual mufflers like in mustangs and older vehicles, and I am seeing that on these newer models they just don't fit nice and flat, so i am ok with one muffler.

  • sounds really beasty, what a difference...
