In Solidarity with the FRD- Vancouver group: 6 Women entered the St. Micheal's Cathedral displaying a banner that read ' The Spirits of 50, 000 Aboriginal Children must be brought home'. They stood peacefully while the Church people yelled and tried to rip their banner and quickly called police. If you notice the man in the Red Jacket says to the parish, 'Ignore them, ignore them, not in church please'. The Truth has been hidden for too long, some Canadians are aware of these crimes committed by the church, but this day we also found that the church's own followers are ignorant to this matter.
Earlier FRD- Toronto group visited the Anglican church and there the church people and officials got really nasty.
One group member was told to, 'Go get a full time job and support your children and it is up to you if you wish to spend all the money the government gives you on alcohol' which was irrelevant, however this is coming from a church person.
I was told to respect the house of God.
'Creator is everywhere, not just here and Creator is in every single human being, it's up to us to bring it out'
What is your opinion? Do you think this disrupted the church?!

  • Only by educating the world by exposing the TRUTH will these 50,000 innocent victims and their families find closure from the horrific experiences suffered in the Residential schools. The impact continues intergenerationally as survivors and their families cope with the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in sometimes unhealthy or disasterous ways. Money will never bring those 50,000 children back or heal the life-long pain of so many other losses.

  • Oh and FYI- We 'attacked' this church for it was the first Parish to establish in Toronto and where the first draft was written to conduct the 'residential school'.

"Please Jesus, Protect me from your followers"

  • I think acknowledging the pedophile rings and jailing these Godly people would truly begin the healing for so many adults who suffered as children.

  • Well those people are still alive today and have established parishes in Asia and Latin America, because the church cannot punish them. So theses pedophiles were sent on missions to other countries, now do you think this is a fair punishment. How many more children will suffer?

  • You are not worth the energy anymore. But please read over your statements and reflect. Who gave superiority over Indigenous people beliefs and culture, we have our way of life, we do not need to be saved.

  • u are knowingly bluring the difference between the Church and it's self acknowledged sinning members. original sin. Bad catholics do not invalidate the Truth of the Church Christ established himself. the pope does not have a million $ watch. evidence please. the Catholic Church is acknowledged as being the WORLD'S largest charitable institution. dwarfing the UN. and the Creator is Jesus and he did give authority of some over others. what they do with that authority Judged by God.

  • People don't care. Neither does the Gov. When people say that what we did was wrong, well not in my eyes. The Creator knows what our intentions were. And soon after wards there was the so called 'Apology' from Parliament Hill. At least they acknowledged what we were preaching is true.

  • @carisiabonita I don't think you understand that everything you think the pope "has" does not belong to him, but to all Catholics. If you're actually concerned about the poor and the hungry, contact your local Catholic charity: the Catholic Church is the largest charitable organization on the planet.

  • @carisiabonita You are entitled to your opinion, but you are not entitled to infiltrate a house of prayer with the purpose of disrupting to prayerful atmosphere within. I think more people would be open to your concern if you were less rude and didn't blame people for things they couldn't have done or stopped.

  • @carisiabonita You cannot hold people today responsible for the crimes of people past.

  • We spoke after the service was done, we could have disrespected the mass, but we chose not to. I was raised into this 'Institution' by force. I always felt there was something wrong with these 'Godly people' that preached that 'world hunger' needs to end, yet the Popes watch is worth $1 million, that's enough to feed an entire country of hugnry children for a year. How does someone fit this in their right mind and smile and continue to go to church. Yet the homeless stand outside in the cold.
