Too bad you can't edit out the person laughing. Kind of messes up the listening. Glad someone enjoyed it.

Giggling aside, this is one of the three best recordings I've heard of this work.
THE best recording is, of course, by the University of Southern North Dakota at Hoople's Freshman 4H-Club Symphonic Society, under the direction of Mr. 4H-Club himself, Harry Herbert Hoover Heaver.
The second best is probably OrchestraX's performance on "P.D.Q. Bach in Houston: We Have a Problem" and the conducting for that performance was even worse.

What could have been a wonderful PDQ Bach performance wrecked by a giggling camera operator. Next time try a tripod.

Actually it is almost impossible to watch and listen to this music without breaking out into uncontrollable laughter. I remember my first experience with a PDQ Bach recording being unable to stay seated - I slid right onto the floor. I congratulate the videographer on her restraint - not to mention the musicians!

I had some very good conducting couching. It was painful but sexy.

The laughing madam is the funniest thing of this recording!

Technical issues of the recording aside, I think that this was very nicely done. True, it is difficult to avoid the urge to take the satire of it a bit too far and turn this into slapstick. Rather, I think it's important that it was played straight, for the most part; it's much funnier that way.

I don't think they were commenting on your conducting or musicality, Alex. They were just saying that the laughter got in the way. Also, the conducting is not meant to be taken seriously because this is not a serious piece. I don't think they intended any disrespect.

Yes. That's evidence of a poor camera operator. She can't control herself. The laughter is so clear that it could only have been directed at close proximity to the camera. Then, there's the shaking.
Very poor camera work here,
I wish someone would have put a gag on the lady laughing at every single thing that happened....including the "conductor" simply walking to the podium.

It was planned like that. And the "conductor" whom you so sarcastically quoted deserves respect because in the first place back then I didn't have any conducting experience or couching and by any means I have a LOT of natural instic for it.Now 3 years after, I have studied such art and could judge according to the situation. You should upload videos of yourself and we will see how well you can do. Have a very good day.
