Legend of Legaia 26 - Hardest boss - Lapis!

In my opinion this guy is the hardest to beat in this game! I never defeated him this early without my ultimate armor and a heck of a lot more HP lol. I did have to use a lot of phoenix items to save the day. Doesnt it hurt to get hit with 3x more damage than your max hp? lol This is not a required fight and ive never defeated it before going into the Absolute Fortress, I dunno if I can do it earlier either, I need enough agl to do miracle arts without spiriting and enough phoenix's to do the trick, which are pretty expensive.
