I grew up there.
I miss it to a degree I can't possibly say. I was one of the luckiest kids ever, and, I never knew. 1920 Ann Street. I'm Ms Nacy's son, if anyone here remembers.

I love the wild horses of NC, there one of my favorite horse breeds. I work at a trail riding business down there in the summers, and we get to see the horses. I love them sooo much, they are amazing. I wish the government didn't keep there population so low!!! we need more

i grew up in beaufort the banks ponies are pretty tame you cant pet them but get close i love the video

Only learned of Shackelford today.... live in CA. Loved this video.... really a nice job in putting it together. Now I want to go.

how stupid of me,of all the time i was stationed at fort macon,i wanted to go and spend the day at cape lookout,and that was just next door,now i am over 3000 miles away i still want to do it.stoopid stoopid stoopid.

These horses must be used to people, because I wouldn't think that a wild horse would let a human get so close. At least that is what I would assume from my experience with horses (I own a few).

great video, great song selection. We are playing shackelford banks in our concert in May, 09, hope I get to go back to the outerbanks and see these wild beautiful creatures.
Wow.. U got so close to them. I've been there several times but only saw horses from a distance. Amazing where one can go on the internet :)

We always go onto the island from the Beaufort side and then hike to the left. Sometimes you have to go into the dunes to find them. I love it there.
