@elenavlada : Aetas are no longer isolated as we all know, there are no more inhabitable caves and rainforests (which are now 'owned' by multinational companies' if not declared gov't property). They have a long history of contacts with lowlanders (Christianized Visayans, and foreigners) and so, there is indeed such thing as no longer 100% pure Aeta. We have the 'kalibugan' (50% Ati, 50 % Bisaya), and what have you...

what people don't understand is alot of aetas have become mixed...mostly with proto-austronesian people..so they turn out looking like that...a 100% aeta is harder to find nowadays

The good news about this Aeta tribe is that the government has given them their own land. And now they can establish their own town. I just watched it recently in a filipino show. They are now trying to establish their own town police so their people can try to stop the fighting and arguments that might arise in their small town. It's really nice to know.. But I hope they also help out the Agta people as well.

Filipino's are not Asian; they are not Oriental. Filipinos are MIXED. Some of them have Oriental blood, but for the most part, Filipino's are a mixed-race people. Filipino's are really Pacific Islanders related to the indiginous Aborigines of Australia, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, etc.

people are trying to get their skin lighter by mixing with paler people(mestiza). You think the other groups would be running to mix with a group of people they have been taught to look down on and are black with kinky hair. There is a lot bleaching going on in Phils especially by singers and actors. I have seen regular people buying those bleaching products in the malls where I spend a lot of time.

a king of Spain. Just like other colonized countries, the most educated are usually the most ignorant of culture and usually lacking COMMON SENSE. The rich send their kids to foreign schools to come back to rule a country they have been trained by their schooling to serve to their masters on a silver platter.
