  • hola muy buen proyecto, yo tengo que hacer un trabajo igual al de ustedes solo que en lugar de utilizar matlab utilizare una tarjeta de adquisicion de datos de ni y labview para la implementacion del controlador.

    solo quiero saber que masa tenia su esfera y cuantas vueltas tiene el electroiman y de que calibre es el cable utilizado, porque yo tengo duda en que es mejor levitar una esfera maciza o una hueca, de antemano gracias.

  • Yeah I can see how you had seen it wrong : ) But this is actually a homemade magnet levitator. That's why it's such a small distance between the electromagnet and the magnet (or piece of metal). Because the electromagnet is not very powerful. Anyway, I love these things : ) their so fun!

  • The general principle is straight forward: An electromagnet pulls a magnet upward while a magnetic field detector measures the exact position of the magnet. The magnet's lifting force is adjusted according to position. I have one at my desk right now. You can buy ones that are better than this one. Search on google for levitating globe. There is no strings. It is all done with magnets.
