  • that civic must be running pretty lean if it's only making 3oo whp at 20 psi on a b16. It should be making around 350 unless you got lower compression pistons... What did you do to the transmission/mounts/axles/tires to get launches like that in a fwd honda?

  • @samsamsamsamsamaaaaa

hey mate, dont look at the power its makeing. comparing from different dynos and places tell different stories. if you look at my mph at the end of the track its around 123mph which in american land is probably about 400whp or so.

the car is tuned to about 11.5-12:1 AFR under boost on 98 octane. i have about 8.5:1 compression pistons.

stock b16a transmission with quaife LSD.

my engine mounts are hasport. not the hardest ones, but with street friendly inserts.

  • @samsamsamsamsamaaaaa

axles are driveshaft shop 2.9 axles, but only one is installed because the other had a manufacture fault, so its running one stock axle.

clutch is soft for the power, only rated at 80% above stock torque it says, but its worked perfectly and easy to launch. to launch i bounce on the launch control for a sec or so then slide the clutch till the wheels match the speed of the limiter then let off fully on the clutch. seems to hook like crazy.

  • @samsamsamsamsamaaaaa tyres were 22in M/H slicks on 15 in wheels. i had skinnys on the back.

have to change into 5th gear with those slicks so they are too small, 24.5 would be about perfect i think

sorry read posts from bottom to top lol

  • nah my mate just filmed cars he knew, that was all the footage that was taken that night

  • @samsamsamsamsamaaaaa wow 50 less thats wouldnt be to diffrent it would just spin more

  • that's crazy my type r turbo was making 290whp on 8 psi with a ebay t3t4 and log mani

  • @Scholzey that's good and reliable power!! a pal of mine had a b16 with the stock pistons running 15 psi on e85. He made 340 whp until the head gasket gave out after a year or so of boosting. He didn't believe he could run 11's, but if I drove his car, ohhh maaann!!! id be spinnin through 3rd.

  • That yellow skyline needs to work on his launches haha but its nuts none the less! Doing my first run at willowbank this year :D

  • wow, NO turbo lag with that gt2871r!! Ball-bearings FTW!
