sorry, but i don't have much knowledge about these actors except Hiroyuki Sanada, who is very much still alive. he's been playing in lots of movies after Sankokai, with the top of his career perhaps in  the 1990s. more recently he has figured in movies like The last samurai, Twilight samurai, Sunshine, Rush Hour 3 and now the last season of Lost. He's a well respected actor, both in Japan and internationally

I miss Hiroyuki so much! I haven't seen or heard anything going on with him since the filming of Ronin. He's super talented and well rounded in the industry.Younger entertainers can learn so much from him!

the literal translation is:Children without the house. So I presume it is children without a home or homeless children
