Greenlee goes to see Roger is hospital and discovers he and Simone have been having an affair. Vanessa stumbles into hospital and both Leo and Greenlee have to deal with a parent.

I doubt that will happen, but who knows? (I heard NBC is not going to re-new LAS VEGAS for next year.)

@Liligal1 Yeah, I've been watching some of the older scenes with Roger. I never saw them originally. He was pretty sleazy, wow, but in the later scenes, he seemed to have a softer side. He is out for himself, though, that is true. I can't believe he said "I love you and I'm sorry" on his deathbed to Greenlee, when he thought he was talking to Simone, ahhh...

@sneakiebug10 OK, nm, I found what I was looking for. Now, I'm looking for the beginning of the Proteus storyline - I know Roger was involved in it, but can't find much.

@sneakiebug10 Yes, Roger was truly awful to Greenlee. He purposefully broke up Leo and Greenlee the first time they were engaged because Leo refused to skim money from Greenlee's trust fund for Roger. (Roger tried to blackmail Leo into doing it.) He was used to taking money from Greenlee's trust fund without her knowing about it until Leo found out. What kind of father steals from his own daughter?! I don't think Roger loved anyone, including Greenlee because he was too in love with himself!

@Liligal1 Really? I started watching AMC in 2001, so I didn't see anything prior to this of Roger. I don't know about Roger in the past, but this Roger didn't seem like a bad guy, just a little mislead. He did seem to love Greenlee. I liked the scenes with him and Mary, and I thought his trying to hide his liason w/Simone was hilarious, even though it hurt Greenlee. Wasn't there a scene of Greens almost walking in on them? I did like her and Leo together, and didn't want to see her hurt.

Roger Smythe was a cold, heartless bastard who was mentally cruel to Greenlee her entire life. He even told her once that she she was an unwanted and un-welcomed mistake that was never supposed to happen! But aside from all that Greenlee still loved him anyway. She gave him chance after chance to be a part of her life. Sadly, he only used her to suit his needs. And this time was no different. He pretended to be a loving dad so that he could spend more time with her friend Simone.

@sneakiebug10 She actually just got out from seeing him, and considering how he treated her his whole life even that probably wasn't deserved. and the scene where Roger gets shot is called "leo and greenlee running for our lives"

I was really angry at Greenlee for this - not that I liked her, anyway. It's not like Simone slept with Leo, she slept with her dad! Greenlee was living in some kind of dreamland, thinking her dad and mom would ever get back together, anyway. Greenlee only thinks about herself and her own happiness.

The music with Vanessa's entrance was AWSOME!!!!!!! The actress who played her was AWSOME too!!!!!! ^^
