As I mentioned in the last video, one more change was scheduled and this is it right here. If this isn't the last change, it's pretty close to it. Then again, I like to rotate fixtures to keep things interesting. Whatever. This is a mixture of preheat and rapid start fixtures, some vintage, some made or modified by me. Penny the cat also makes a cameo in this video. See if you can spot her. She just has no lines or major spotlight in this vid. LOL. None the less, enjoy.

  • Im lokking in on getting twin bunk beds so i can do what u did with ur lights lol anyway i love all the rapid start lights

  • That is awesome! Glad to hear.

  • Hey there. The two exit signs actually take T5 fluorescent tubes as well as FS-5/FS-2/FS-22 starters. Yes those three types are the same thing, just like FS-4 and FS-12 are the same as each other. None the less, the green one with the vintage font takes two F8T5. The open faced one that's green with white letters used to have two incandescent sockets but has been retrofitted to take an F6T5 using a retrofit kit given to me by a fellow Lighting Gallery member. All are preheat.

  • Preheat Fluorescent lights every where!!!

    I love it !!!!!!!!!!

  • And with all florescent tubes, they have one thing similar to an incandescent light bulb:

A tungsten filament. I've broken a few of them (not vintage, but ones tossed out that I can't fit in the 1/4 ft. fixture in the bathroom.

I've even microwaved the existing filaments fitted to the ends, they lit up for 3 seconds and burned out, bright as hell.

If I had've hooked the ends up to the battery I have, they would've most certainly lit up and burned out.

  • I See A Nice New (Old) Exit Sign! Does It Take The PL Bulbs?
