Don't know if this is already posted, but I just found the piece he is playing by sheer accident. It's BWV 903: Fantasia in D minor. It's meant to be played on keys, so the fact that he does this so perfectly on guitar at that age is just breathtaking.
Also, how do you know that what he is playing isn't showing his emotions? He has more tools than most people, so maybe he can express what he feels in a different way. Not everyone has to resort to the blues scale to say something about how they feel. :P
@joe8864 i see what ur getting at, but personally i wouldnt bet my life on it. Feel and emotion can be more of a subconcious thing that people pick out without the help of a dramatic event. Ur right, age is a small factor, but emotion comes naturally, it doesnt have to be learned. I think of my self as a prime example of this. i havnt had many changing experiences in my life and i find myself zoning out on camera getting so into my music i forget im playing. so i think its different for everyone
Anton Oparin has accomplished a little more than a few modes and the harmonic minor scale. His musical knowledge and technique is far beyond most players today. The reason you've not seen him play anything with emotion or feel, is that in order to really play those things, you need age. That is the one thing he is lacking. I will bet my life that after he has experienced his first broken heart, the death of a loved one, or a hit of cocaine, you'll hear his emotion and feel.
i was curious about him so ive watched at the very least 10 videos of Anton playing and all ive seen is constant alternate picking modes, harmonic minor scaled etc. And some sweeps here and there. I dont find it that impressive. Ive seen people comment these things before and people respond "well you havnt seen him play something with feel and emotion." Some one please send me or post a link of him playing something not like every video ive seen because im curious to see if he can more than this

What is truly scary is his control at this age, imagine 10 years from now what he will have gained!

@joe8864 ur right, they dont. not saying they have to. but it clear from what is shown that this is memory/technique. Its pretty obvious.
