Hitler didn't order the cleansing of Jews right away, there was a while before he started sending military teams into areas to exterminate small numbers of Jews. This proved to be too expensive and not effective enough. It was a while before his camps were opened.

The point where they've been the same has been, so far, in his campaigning, his election, and many of his stances before he got into office. Both of them got into office based on their speaking ability, without much real politics.
