Lee Enfield 1953 No4 Mk2 Rifle

A closer look at my 1953 Lee Enfield No4 Mk2 .303 rifle. This is an example of the final .303 Lee Enfield rifles, and was produced at the Fazakerley plant in Liverpool in 1953. The fourth in my series of videos featuring the rifles in my collection.

I just bought a no4 mk2 and the stamping/serial number is just barely readable, yours looks better but it seems like they didn't put a whole lot of effort into marking these rifles.

Beautiful rifle! I have a 1952 Fazakerley (FTR) Shoots like a dream and the action is smooth and fast! Got it for $100 about 15 years ago. Was offered $350 last year.....no thanks!

@chopperslam69 Keep in mind that the magazines for the earlier No.1 Mk3 rifles differ somewhat from the later, No. 4 model magazines. They're not interchangeable.

@chopperslam69 magazines can be found readily at online auctions or at gunshows.

@chopperslam69 VERY good deal IF it has a good bore and is safe to fire.

Be sure to have the headspace checked by a good gunsmith before firing.

These rifles are a joy to shoot, and the later models (No.4 Mk 2's) are generally the best made and most accurate.
