  • I like your personality, sense of humour and even though you say you look like crap, I think you look strangely beautiful. I can´t understand why you get so few comments. Oh well.. bye.

  • Thank you for your videos. I can sooo relate to everything you say. Hopefully you keep blogging about how you are doing. And you look fine, don't worry about it and I never would have guessed you are 40! Don't be so hard on yourself.

  • DID SHE DIE?

  • Gawd dammit I hate Effexor!

I only take 75mg XR and if I go without for one day, forget it.

I was thinking maybe to fight the nausea and dizzyness, I could take some Dramamine.

  • Your beautiful !! Stay strong !!

  • I totally relate to what you are saying on this vid as well as your other effexor video. I have been on about 7 anti-depressant meds (I've lost count) and have done the weaning off process for all these meds. Effexor was the worst. I am struggling without the meds but I also have seen how they only work for a little while and then I am maxed out on the dose and therefore, yep, a new med.

I agree with Priscilla2574, don't be too hard on yourself. Your videos have helped me soooo much!!!!

  • Underpantswedgy

Whatever you do wean off slowly.

I've been on extended release capsules at 225 and 150 for 3 months and went to 75mg no problems for 6 months. However reducing from 75mg was troublesome for me. As the lady says you can switch to Prozac down the line as this has a longer half-life (check this definition out on the web). Effexor has 10 hour half life so if you forget one it accounts for the horrible side affects. However you shouldn't just stop them NEVER.

  • Did you reduce the dose on instructions from your Doc?

  • I went from 150mg to 75mg to 37.5. I haven't gone this low in 8 years, and I never realized how bad the side effects were. I am out of work so I don't have triggers for anxiety. But Once I start working, I will probably have to start meds.

Thanks for the video, I am glad to see it worked out my lowering the meds
