This is the ending scene from the movie Cape Fear with Nick Nolte and Robert DeNiro so if you haven't seen it, do not watch. It's the funniest scene in the movie in my opinion mostly for the reason that it's not supposed to be.

I love that the family, running away from a psychopathic murderer and rapist, being totally horrified decides that the best and the safest place to hide from him is a place called freaking CAPE FEAR. I guess they didn't see the irony, being characters in the movie and all

Anyone ever thought about the ending after? Max would have gone to jail for the murder of the old security guy. Fingerprints on the gun and crimescene, clothes covered with blood, gun shot residue. Max went to jail and De Niro won in the end.

yeah i saw this movie as a kid, and i thought of it the other day and had to look it. the thing i remembered thr most was how friggin scary robert deniro was, especially as hes going down and he gives that long stare. just wow, scary stuff. i still prefer robert mitchum though.
