or more than 30 years, a drug war was waged in Bolivia with the help of the U.S. drug enforcement administration. Bolivias Yungas region is one of the worlds leading sources of the coca plant — the key ingredient in the production of cocaine.
But Bolivias leftist leader, Eva Morales — himself a former coca farmer — recently expelled U.S. drug enforcement agents from the country. As Worldfocus Ivette Feliciano, Bryan Myers and Ara Ayer discovered, many impoverished Bolivians depend on the coca plant for their livelihood.

@JungleUnderground I think the early version of coca cola was made out of this plant's extract as a tonic or something.. Coca was well spread in the early days. I always wondered how it tasted like..

Coca Plant..natural! Opium..natural! Screw cocaine, crack & heroin.

Although i agree no one should force them to stop the coca plant business, i find it hard to believe there's no other alternative of work. It just makes them sound more suspicious.

Coca leaves doesnt give you a high even if you try to eat the whole plant. It needs
to undergo a process that changes the whole structure of it. Imagine cow = coca plant, bigmac = cocaine. I suppport bolivia for this, americans should find a solution how to tell
their people to lay off the crack. Dont blame the plant. For many bolivian, this is all they have.
