Beautiful prints of this ferry are available at the Block Island Historical Museum as part of the island's 350th birthday celebration. I sailed fron Newport on the Yankee many times when I was young. It was a libatious Summer party route for sure and part of Block Island's history. Id love to see her again.

As A kid I used to watch the Yankee Pass by on it's way to and from Block Island every day. Although I never got a chance to ride on the "Block Island Boat" as we called it , it holds a special memory for me . It is so nice to see it is still alive and well and someone gets enjoyment from the Ferry. If I am ever in Hoboken I would LOVE to visit her.

Yankee was used in the Larry Fessenden-Glass Eye Pix film, "HABIT", where it was the home for Anna and several other unnamed itinerant vampires.
