  • @neozxa and you're totally right about the deathball. I think bigger maps will help.. but i think more so.. the units themselves need to be more interesting. the defiler, hts, seige tanks, all these units were heavy hitting, top tier units in SC1. They were complicated, took high skill to use and were game changers. There need to be equivalent units in the game that embrace this design philosophy that reward exciting, skillful play while still retaining the mechanics improvements of SC2.

  • OMG!!! I can't believe HD messed up with builds. What Flash went was NOT an SKT build! SKT build is pure marine+medic and Science vessels. Flash had tanks, which is already a deviation. That is a huuuuge mistake, HD! It's like saying that hamburgers have cheese in them.

    In short words, facepalm...

  • @neozxa i would say you're spot on about the game being easier. The gameplay improvements in terms of interface, pathing, rallying etc make SC2 the better game mechanically. But I think thats also the problem. The skill level is lower.

  • @thesnert One more thing that I just noticed. Bigger maps usually makes more epic matches right? Starcraft II maps are much smaller and they have less expansions than their BW counterparts. And also, SC2 players tend to keep their army on 1 group, usually known as the Deathball. I guess that's the reason why SCII is less exciting than SC:BW, because most, if not all games are usually determined by one big battle between 2 huge 200/200 armies.

  • @mogyorospusztai I also don't like comments that say Starcraft 2 is shitty just because it's easier to play than SC:BW. ;)

  • @thesnert How? Starcraft 2 is way easier than BW simply because it has: a better interface, improved pathing, MBS, the ability to automatically rally workers to mineral patches, etc. I can't speak too much about the strategy side though, its not exactly my forte. But I think that SC II still has potential to become a much better game than BW. No guarantees though.
