  • wait- aren't you allowed to walk the greyhound without a muzzle if it has been through GAP ? they get the green collar then they are allowed.

  • @ichleibesmosh Hey, that's really good news. By the time we had Ben in foster care (2008), that was only the case in South Australia and Victoria, that adopted ex-racing greyhounds could been walked muzzle-free in public places. Ben lives in Sydney. But I just read on the website of GAP New South Wales, that the government finally changed the law there too so greyhounds can go through a testing to get a green collar which allows them to walk without a muzzle. Yippee!! :-)

  • Why does he have a mussel on?

  • @jay733 Unfortunately there is this silly ancient law that Greyhounds have to be muzzled in public places in Australia. :-/

  • A muzzle. That caught me off guard. I got my greyhound almost 2.5 years ago (Canada) and he has never had a muzzle on.

  • i'm australian, and fuck muzzles. I have way too many photos of kids, adults and pensioners swooning over my grey and hanging from her neck to care about this law.

  • @nezumi102 after its been re-homed you should keep it on just in case a really small dogs comes to play with it and i thinks its a rabbit but most are very good and dont need one only when its racing its law to keep on it when walking i work and run a kennels we have to follow this law or the dogs can be taken away from us or we could be fined the laws are strict for us

  • hes absolutely adorable.

  • @nezumi102 they're not required in the UK - they're recommended for a week or two - our three have never worn one!

  • @TheMissChloe98 Ours have never wore a muzzle at all from the minute they came home - we didn't think it necessary - obviously each dog is different though x

  • @nezumi102 Do they have to have a muzzle on all of the time in the UK? I have seen loads that never wear muzzles. My uncle had one, she wore a muzzle for a few weeks then never again.

  • When I adopted an ex-racing grey from Cheshire a couple of years ago, I was asked to use the muzzle for a number of weeks, when he was out in public. But that it could be discarded after that time. Which it was.

  • @jay733 The muzzle is required in the UK. I know why, though.

  • hehe hez soo cutte! :)
